An open letter to the Private Investigator Community:
Greetings from Anonymous,
We are writing you today because we are concerned about the employment choices of some Private Investigators, specifically those accepting jobs from the "Church" of Scientology. Some of you may already be aware of the "Fair Game" tactics of harassment that are doled out harshly to any who criticize the "Church". However, some of you may not be aware of the more nefarious practices that the "Church" employs - we would like to take a moment to explain some of those, so that you may make an informed decision as to whom you wish to do business with.
You see, the "Church" of Scientology has a policy called "Fair Game". Wikipedia describes this as:
''...various aggressive policies and practices carried out by the "Church" of Scientology towards people and groups it perceives as its enemies.''
L. Ron Hubbard declared that anyone deemed a critic of the "Church" would be subject to Fair Game. In his own words:
''ENEMY - SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.''
[[Note: "SP" means "Suppressive Person", anyone who opposes the "Church"]]
To this end, many people have faced the wrath of the "Church" over the last 30+ years. The "Church" would lead you to believe these descriptions are all misinformation spread by critics. They will reference a cancellation order written by L. Ron Hubbard in 1968:
''The practice of declaring people FAIR GAME will cease. FAIR GAME may not appear on any Ethics Order. It causes bad public relations. This P/L does not cancel any policy on the treatment or handling of an SP.''
However, in reality, this order only cancelled the name of the actions, and not the action itself. You are investigators, so we will not bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, lives have been ruined so that a pyramid scheme could stay intact.

We encourage you to take the time to discover why the "Church" is constantly hiring private investigators. We hope that once you have learned more about the "Church", you will decline any job offers that you may receive.
You should know that events involving Anonymous are heavily documented, both by video and still pictures. Coverage includes not only the media, but Anonymous participants as well. Any operative hired by Scientology will inevitably be photographed and included in our videos and still shots of our events. Youtube has many examples of our events of Feb. 10 and Mar. 15 of this year. Investigators who rely on anonymity to perform undercover work should be made aware of this before choosing to accept employment from any Scientology organization.
Furthermore we have created a compilation (online at http://www.privatedicks.org) of PI photographs, names, etc as a means of providing protection to "Suppressive Persons". Please note that we will be contacting these investigators whenever possible to alert them of the true intentions of the "Church". We will also note those that have decided to no longer accept work from the "Church" after learning the truth.
While we would hope that ethical reasons would prevent you from accepting a job from Scientology, we understand that sometimes this is not a consideration. We wish you to be fully informed of the potential consequences of working for this organization.
